This is one of my all time favorite quotes. First of all, how can you not love Eleanor Roosevelt? I think she was an amazing, strong women who had her fair share of struggles, but managed to always keep her head held high. Add "beauty" and "dreams" to the mix and you've got a great quote! What about you? Can you share your favorite and why you love it? We may even use it for a future "Wednesday Wisdom" … Let's hear your best quotes

‘We all have our own life to pursue, our own kind of dream to be weaving. And we all have some power to make wishes come true, as long as we keep believing.’
-Louisa May Alcott
I love this one, myself :-)

“When you think you have exhausted all possibilities remember this…you haven’t.”
When I feel stuck or discouraged and I can see the light off in the distance calling me to keep going…I think of this quote and it inspires me to splash some water on my face, take a breath of fresh air, turn on some music, and be OPEN to a magical possibility that had not occurred to me before. And, as always…a marvelous thought flows into my mind and I am on my merry way again! xoxoxox Linda
The world belongs to the enthusiastic. Ralph Waldo Emmerson
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the things you did do.
So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain
I’ve seen this quote in much shorter more succinct ways in many places, but I’m more drawn to the way this one has been stated. Not sure that I could call it my fav quote, but it’s certainly the one, at the moment, that hits closest to home. I do worry that I’ll still be in this “stuck” place, years down the track. So I try to read it often in the hope that something will “click”, one day! :)
Every happening great or small is a parable whereby God speaks to us, and the art of life is to get the message. ~M.Mudderidge
Whether my experiences are positive or negative, I am reminded of this quote. I truly believe that each event is a piece of the tapestry that’s being woven, a missing piece to a puzzle, or a brick in the path that is life. Sometimes they even seem to be be answers to our hopes, dreams, and questions – as long as we are listening!
I love this one by Eleanor Roosevelt and have written it down. My favorite is at the top of my blog. When I stand before God at the End of my life, I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say. ” I used everything you gave me.” Erma Bombeck Love this one.
I admire her writing and miss it. thanks for the quote!
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.”

“the well of nature is full today, time to go outside and take a drink” – dont know who said it but it has always stuck with me

Every blade of grass has its angel that bends over it and whispers, “Grow, grow.” -The Talmud
“Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.” ~Rumi
“It is never to late to be what you might have been.”
George Eliot
I’ve always liked reading Albert Einstein quotes. My favorite quote is: “Try not to be a man of success but a man of value.”
I don’t know who said this, but I love it:
“When the grass seems greener, it’s time to water your own.”

One of my favorite quotes is the one I have at the top of my blog and one that I hand calligraphed and hung above my bed back in college.
“And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom”~Anais Nin
For me “that day” didn’t arrive until years later but I knew that it eventually would despite so many years of feeling a bit lost, sad, uncertain etc. For me it’s a powerful quote of being enlightened and making a choice about one’s future.
Another quote that resonates with me is Goethe’s “Whatever you can do or dream you can begin it now; boldness has genius, power and magic in it”.
I have that written across a picture of me smiling while skydiving (my first time on a plane and afraid of heights) and I keep that in my studio for whenever I feel like I can’t do something, overwhelmed or when that little critic inside tries to talk me out of something :)
Thanks for letting us share~I love the quotes I receive from WWC!
This may be not quite what you had in mind when you asked for our favourite quotes, but here goes… my favourite is one by – me!
“Inspiration Inspires”
One day I was working on a project of my own design and in no time at all I had several more ideas percolating; variations on the same theme that came to mind as I was working happily away. I realized a valuable lesson then: the more I do, the more I think of, which leads to yet more again, and so on and so on. When I am not sure where to begin, I know if I just make a start, the rest will follow, and I no longer have the “dry” spells you sometimes hear about.
