"We have 2 really fun christmas traditions. the first we have done in my family since as long as i can remember, and my husband and i have done this with our 3 kids: there is no getting dressed on christmas morning. we stay in our jammies as long as possible, even if we have to travel to someone else's home to open gifts – we always stay in our pjs! and the second tradition we just started a couple years ago with my husband's family: we divided the family into 2 equal teams and had a family olympics! we had events like pie eating contest, free throw competition, bowling, long jumps off of a swing, bucket brigades…. its so fun to come up with new games each year! its now something that everyone looks forward to and keeps the whole family together longer."

May Arts shares …
The holidays are always a special time for us here at May Arts. Being a ribbon company, we are happily busy during this festive season. But we still enjoy taking the opportunity to chat with our long time customers, as they prepare themselves for the holidays. We truly enjoy hearing the growing excitement & anticipation in their voices.
In the office, we have maintained the same Christmas tradition for over 10 years. Before we set off on our Christmas break, we take a moment out of our busy schedules & celebrate the holiday together. We have a nice lunch in the office & open our Christmas presents. One of our favorite gifts we receive every year is a box of Big Island Candies. Not only us, but our families at home, eagerly await opening up this delicacy at Christmas. If they make it unopened till then

I love Lindsey’s PJ tradition! We stay in our PJs at home, but I like the idea of wearing them even out to someone else’s house. Cute idea!
And I have the Twelve Days button on my blog!
This is great. This holidays really is a good way to share our blessings to others. This is also a way to bring back the glory to all that have made this year a success. What you have shared with us about plans this holidays are fun and a worthwhile activity. This is a good tip, I might try it on my own.
The artists that you’ve selected for this contest are amazomg. Would love to win to see their products up close and in person!
I love the idea of PJs but we have livestock and I’m not sure if I fancy feeding/watering/bedding down in my PJs!!!

Things in my life seem to go in twelves( I have practiced architecture and baking amongst other career paths). the more I look around, the more twelve-sets there are other than inches and dozens. so i have been enjoying the wwc 12 days of holiday traditions a lot.
My own family tradition started when my husband and i started celebrating holidays with our children. I pulled together gifts for my family, hiding them all around our house. All of the Tree trimming got done earlier on Christmas Eve by the children. They always made a cookie plate on their way to bed complete with reindeer friendly carrots and apples. The house looks simply kind of cluttered with stuff.
On this night, fortified with a stack of videotape or dvd movies to keep me company, a marathon of wrapping begins (my husband only makes it about an hour in). I rarely have had a good night’s rest from executing my marathon wrapping frenzy. Nothing is too small to embellish either. It is worth every tired moment the next day, when the result is so much fun.
Every christmas morning, crazily high, peak levels of excitement are in play. Clutter has disappeared leaving in its stead pretty packages wrapped in florist foil papers, tags and real ribbons. The sight of packages under sparkling decorated branches with giddy kids hopping around, makes it all feel pretty magical. My youngest still believed in Santa Claus until last year when she was almost 13. It has been a blast to trick everyone into happy holiday moods for two decades.
I love that PJ tradition!

One of my favorite Christmas cookies to make are the ones you press out of a tube and cross your fingers the little tree or star shape turned out ok. It was like playing with play dough….if you messed it up ,you just scooped it up and shoved it back in the tube and tried again, and again……

Thanks for the chance!! Beautiful!
It’s always fun to learn about others special traditions at the holidays. Two years ago we started having The 4 weeks of Christmas. We get together once a week in December and eat or go to a concert or movie or play a game of monopoly and at each meeting exchange a gift each. This was my idea to get to see more of my kids after they left me with an empty nest. Of course, the gift at each meeting, was the bait for the kids and we have had so much fun doing this. Thanks so much for the giveaway. ms.cheryl
