Zack and I have only been married a couple years (awww :] ) and since we're currently living in Minnesota and our families are in Michigan, we haven't had the chance to start our own traditions. However, our moms have given us some of our childhood ornaments, along with some family ornaments, and so our tree is decorated with these memories. We really love decorating the house at night with Christmas music playing — it's something we both get excited about! This year we have a little pup, Bauer, and he's making things so much more merry & bright. Merry Christmas! xoxo
Gussy is giving a $40.00 shop credit to her shop. Please visit her at:

Gussy, I love you puppy and I know you will create your own traditions, heck you come from Michigan and we know how creative you have to be coming from there.

I can completely relate with Gussy’s Christmas memory! We too live in Minnesota, have been married for a year and a half which means our parents have been passing along Christmas ornaments, books, and stuffed animals. This year…we are setting up the little train around the tree. Very excited. Thanks for sharing ladies! Happy Holidays!
I really want to win those luggage tags specially!!!! Thank you ever so much for sharing so many giveaways and giving so many people a chance to win!
Wonderful ways to enjoy the holiday, gals! Would love to win these treasures!
The mercantile style of supplies for paper art, is so inspiring! I am diffidently going to add those to my stock. I love that look, and actually collect vintage advertising that I have displayed in my home. Thanks for the opportunity to perhaps win some!
The WWC 12 days button is on my sidebar!

Gussy, you are starting your own traditions with the family ornaments and decorating. I remember when my hubby and I first started doing Christmas on our own and here we are, 13 years later, and we still do some of the same decorations.

These ladies have me COMPLETELY in the holiday mood! Just leaving a quick comment before I head into my crafty nook to start creating!
My favourite Christmas show/movie has to be The Grinch – either Jim Carrey’s version or the original cartoon. Christmas isn’t ‘right’ unless I get to watch each of them at least once! For my husband it’s the Alistair Sim version of A Christmas Carol.
I love reading all these great traditions – makes me want to add another one to my family’s list!
All wonderful traditions, but I particularly enjoyed reading Rebecca’s – Our family is very competitive so I can only imagine what stocking vessels we’d come up with!
Oh I know to just be starting a family traditions are something you want to carry on yet start something new just for us.
I love the stocking story great story showing the christmas spirit by the whole family. WOnderful!

Fun tradition, Rebecca, with the making of the stocking stuffer “vessels”. It reminds me of a friend’s family who had the rule that among immediate family members gifts must fall into the categories of “Make it, bake it, sew it, or grow it.”
I think I’d like to adopt Jenni’s Christmas Eve movie tradition. Sounds magical!
I’m with Jenni…..it’s all about slowing down and enjoying family together on Christmas Eve.
Love reading them all! ~Heidi

Jenni sitting under the christmas tree lights is so special.
Rebecca as our families have gotten larger we started selecting names and it is so much fun to find out who shopped for you on christmas day.
Another day of great stories and traditions. Thank- you
brilliant! especially the secret santa stockings.
I love hearing about everyones traditions.
wow, LOVED this post
I just love these past few days of posts. All of the tradition stories are so interesting and seeing what all of these talented artist create.
one of the gift giving things we did in my family last year was give a small item or a home-baked treat and then give to a charity like World Vision in their honor…
I can so relate to what Gussy said about decorating the tree. Our tree is full of memories – some of the decorations I made when I was a kid, some my parents made, some were bought, some were gifts, and as I unpack them and hang on them on the tree, every one of them brings back memories.
I’m a follower and tweeted about today’s giveaway @knititall

Thanks for sharing & the generous giveaways! The boot sounds hilarious!
When we were little my mother put an ornament on her tree with our name and year on it. When we got our own places, we got that box of ornaments for our first tree. Hanging them brings back such wonderful memories.
I’ve put the “Twelve Days of Christmas” WWC image on my blog. http://knittingitall.blogspot.com/
What a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays.
Such great stuff!
My mom used to buy each of girls our own ornament for Christmas each year. When I moved out and had my first Christmas tree of my own, my mom came over and gave me all my ornaments and helped me put them up. It was great.
Ooh, I love Rebecca’s tradition! That sounds like so much fun. Thanks for the chance to win!

I just love reading all of the traditions from each of these women. It’s funny so many do celebrate Christmas but when really stopping to think, we each celebrate just a little differently than the next bringing into our celebrations parts of our own family. That’s what makes each family special.
This is so much fun:)
Great prizes. Thanks!

Thanks for the chance!! Beautiful!
What great memories and traditions!
It’s always fun to learn about others special traditions at the holidays. Two years ago we started having The 4 weeks of Christmas. We get together once a week in December and eat or go to a concert or movie or play a game of monopoly and at each meeting exchange a gift each. This was my idea to get to see more of my kids after they left me with an empty nest. Of course, the gift at each meeting, was the bait for the kids and we have had so much fun doing this. Thanks so much for the giveaway. ms.cheryl
