It could be a message of inspiration; it could be a message full of laments over muffin tops; it could be a simple reflection on how one month can make all the difference in the world. Whatever the case, she’ll share her personal ebb and flow with you each month, as you go through the process with Cathy, who hopes to give you a little burst of inspiration for your journey.

Jennifer Paganelli~Sis Boom

As a designer, Jennifer Paganelli finds inspiration in everything. Sis Boom is the inspiration distilled from several lives: her youth in the Great Lakes region of the US, her adolescence spent in the vibrant Caribbean, her college years in traditional New England, followed by career-building in the clamor of New York City.

Today, she and her company are located in the leafy rolling countryside of the Northeast. It’s here where she takes a breath and gets to work everyday. With unusual artistry and a love of texture and a blend of vivid colors, Jennifer uses everyday inspiration, journaling, collaging, and materials from her past to cultivate new ideas and fabric designs.

Jennifer’s connection to all things vintage, including fabrics, forms the basis of her textile work. She clearly identifies with their strong, saturated and lively color. Here, Jennifer invites you to explore her extraordinary world.

Ecstatic about her most recent project, Girl’s World, Jennifer has found a way to let you into a magical world that she herself wishes every little girl can be a part of. Vibrant, happy, sweet, and saturated with all things textured, sparkly and girly, this sewing book is chock-full of 21 projects for little girls. What a treat!

I'd like you to meet Stacy Julian …

Teaching people makes me happy.

I think teaching is my art.

During the years I was editor of Simple Scrapbooks magazine, I become acquainted with the common needs and desires of women through the stories they shared on thousands of scrapbook pages.

In 2005 I founded Big Picture Classes as a way to stay home and teach. What I didn’t realize is that BPC as an e-learning site was ahead of its time and would ultimately connect women in a global conversation about life and creativity. BPC is now a thriving community of over 50,000 where teaching, learning and sharing is happening 24/7.

Other things you might want to know about me:

I crave yellow.

I need to be surrounded by those I love.

I strive to feel present.

I don’t always succeed.

I’ve learned to create and savor everyday moments with my children.

I believe these moments while fleeting are also the most formative.

I also believe in the power of story.

I still cling to the simple philosophy that anytime you pair a memory with a photo you are honoring the past and creating a little more gratitude and awareness in yourself and the world.

That has got to be a good thing.
