I actually enjoy ladderback chairs. Mine are light weight and easy to move around i.e. desk area, workshop area, etc..

I always seem to end up standing when I work!

Earlier this week I found a chair for my sewing room at a thrift store for $21! Comfort is what I went for and this chair is in excellent condition, very nicely padded, no arms, with height control. Though I wasn’t pleased with the dark blue fabric, (excellent condition just didn’t like the color) I can recover it. :)

Interestingly, I just posted pictures of this very topic on my blog last week!! I have a 36″ high cutting table in my studio to relieve back stress when doing standing projects…but sometimes I need to sit down while working there. I’ve been using a bar stool (with a back) that belonged to my Mom, but it isn’t my style and doesn’t match my decor. That has been my project for the last couple of weeks…creating a cover for it! I’m almost finished with it and I thinks it looks pretty good! I love using that stool! I can alternate between standing and sitting with ease….and now…a little bit of *my style* too!!!!

Remember: If it is created by hand, it comes from the heart.
