We've just returned from Spring International Quilt Market.
WHEW!
We had a fabulous time wandering from gorgeous booth to gorgeous booth. Meeting new friends-both new and old, eating at some FABULOUS restaurants and admiring all of the talent that filled the convention floor. You simply wouldn't believe how AMAZING it was!
I really wish we could have brought you with us, but I did bring something back …

Have been following several blogs through Spring market and really couldn’t be more excited by what’s going to be available to us in the near future. Can hardly wait for the deliveries to start coming into my LQS.

Thanks for sharing. I want to tell a quick story. I recently received a gift from a childhood friend. She gave me a quilt that was owned by her neighbor woman. I also knew this woman and my friend thought it’d be a nice memory for me. The quilt would have to be 75 plus in years! It was an amazing gift and the generosity brought me to tears!

Saw the pictures in flickr! Amazing!
One of the things about these ideas and colorful bits of inspiration captured here so exquisitely is how they are held in one’s mind and put into action at just the right time in one’s life. Or not. For months on end I was unable to create because my focus was my daughter who had leukemia. But images like these were my saving grace! I devoured them taking the cliche ‘food for the soul’ to an entirely new level. I couldn’t take what inspired me and put it into any real action but I could savor, muse, wonder and escape. I’m telling you this because these photos are so often so much more than just a moment’s sigh, a daydreams’ ah or a face-filled smile. They matter more than that and the women behind these extraordinary creations matter more than most ever say. Today my daughter is well. Today I can take what has inspired me while in a holding pattern for years and create and express was has been defined anew. As I gaze in wonderment at my daughter, Aria, I know what it is to be creatively free.
