Looking back, I have always been creative. I remember staying with my grandparents one summer with barely any toys packed to play with, so outside I would flip dandelions upside-down and pretend they were dolls with frilly yellow skirts. Today I like to think that I bring that same playful imagination to the things I create in a very Rumplestiltskin-type of way: turning straw into gold. Or at least clothespins into dolls . . .

or into clips.

I love to write and tinker and dream of combining these interests into a craft and decor book someday.

My book would be filled with all kinds of 

simple transformations.

I hope my words are more than just noise

and as you click away, you have been encouraged,

humored or perhaps thought about trying something new.

 

Who am I?

A follower of Christ.

A wife to a fabulous man.

A mom to a house full of noise, chaos, pink and love.

A loyal friend.

A nerd.

 

I big puffy heart: 

flip flops,

my flat iron,

Burt's Bees chapstick

coffee,

sugar,

driving alone,

Gap curvy jeans,

bleach,

rainy days,

sea otters, 

English literature,

Apple,

Spray and Wash,

Toyota Siennas,

rabbit pellet ice

heart shaped rocks.

 

 

I have no puffy hearts for

Clowns.

Sharks.

Popsicle sticks.

Ketchup.

Bananas.

Food coloring.

Twilight.

Purple.

Selfishness.

In real life I am awkward and shy.

 

While the little ones sleep

I love to sit in silence at my sewing machine

and see how many bobbins I can empty.

 

But as soon as they wake up

I live for the sound of their noisy little voices.

 Tracey Buxton loves to take old furniture and reinvent it into something new and beautiful. She also loves to bake, having done wedding cakes in the past, she now focuses on cupcakes! 

 

After years of painting vintage pieces for herself, her kids college houses, for friends homes, she finally decided to take it up a notch and do a few well chosen Craft Fairs.

 
  Time passed, and after about 5 years of Craft Fairs, Tracey found herself suddenly single and had a major life changing experience. She learned that life is short and decided it was at last time to take herself very seriously and follow her passions, so she made up goals and a time line.

 

Low and behold, Tracey now showcases her painted vintage furniture and crafted treasures at her permanent booth space at Camas Antiques in Camas Washington, Just outside of Portland Oregon …

 
  

 
 You can also find her at various Trunk and Porch Shows in the Portland, Oregon area (Watch for her at the July 31st BarnHouse show!) and in Camas, Washington, where she lives along with her faithful yellow lab, Moose.
