My friend, Linda, called me one day and said to me, “There is a woman in Arizona who takes the most beautiful photographs of special needs children and their families … I think you should feature her in the magazine.” So I called Wendy, flew to Phoenix to photograph her studio, and was immediately inspired by all that she does with her talent.
Wendy’s studio is certainly not the largest or most lavish studio we have photographed, but there is no other studio owner who loves her creative space more than Wendy does. It is her dream come true — a quiet, beautiful, simple, functional place attached to the back of her house in a spot that was once only a porch.
Her photography is so beautiful and so filled with emotion that it truly tugs at your heartstrings — whether you know those in the picture or not. The stories of the families whose lives she has had the privilege to record are unforgettable. Wendy is a woman who by simply doing what she loves gives something beyond price to those who are the recipients of her talents and her gifts.
Where Women Create would like to thank Wendy Imbornoni for her feature in the magazine. For more information on Wendy, please visit http://www.imbornoniphotography.com/ .

Wendy’s photography is beautiful. As someone who has worked with “special needs” children, and counts several “special” adults as friends, I am touched by her work. “Special needs” can also be translated “special blessings”.
What beautiful, sensitive work! Wendy’s studio is very peaceful, serene; a perfect backdrop for her photography.
What a wonderful subject to photograph! The studio looks very relaxing.

A lovely focus. Their smiles are truly genuine.

Such nice pictures.
The pictures are beautiful! I am involved with helping ill children and children coming from Haiti by trying to put a smile on their faces. We are painting Treasure Boxes for Shriners Hospitals through out the US and to see the children and what little token makes them happy…gives you a feeling you can’t ever explain!
Congratulation to this wonderful Lady.
I love her simple studio…it is perfect for what she does. Thanks for sharing her story and passion! I will mention your giveaway on my blog d=sidebar! Thanks for adding my name to your “jar”!

Such sweet photographs. Thank you for introducing her work and her website. I loved her studio – so soothing and inspiring at the same time.
What a gift Wendy creates for the families of those she photographs. Her love and passion for her work are evident in all she does.
It’s fantastic that all Wendy has to do is walk to the back of her house and she’s in her studio. Grab a cup of coffee on the way, put on some great music, and voila, you’re at work in the comfort of your own home. What could be better than that:-)
Such an inspirational story about a woman following her passion — the very essence of Where Women Create. Thank you.

I am constantly touched by those who use their talents to bless the lives of others. Your site is truly an inspiration….better than so many magazines. I’ve visited over and over since your July 24 invitation to show creative spaces. It’s motivated me to change my space and call it a studio…no one really understands how that makes me feel. Thank you for helping us all to be happier and to strive to be better.
Atruly beautiful in which to pursue such a blessed calling. Her backyard reminds me of my grandmother’s place in North Phoenix, it has that same quiet charm that makes you want to sit a bit. Beautiful work, inspires me to get busy putting something back into life outside my family.

Well Hello Jo!
I am so happy to find out you have a blog!!! DO NOT put me in your drawing though because I already own my own copy of your book and {{{LOVE IT}}}} and was so happy when the idea evolved into a magazine. Truly an inspiration.
