Lisa Crone has been making beaded jewelry for over 20 years. She discovered a few years ago that the world around her is overflowing with design inspiration. It started with making jewelry to commemorate family vacations to Niagara Falls, San Francisco and the Caribbean. Making jewelry to represent favorite artwork and interesting scenery soon followed and inspired her to share this discovery with her fellow jewelry designers by writing a book. My favorite holiday movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. This movie is about what is most important, being “rich” with family and friends (not money and wealth).
Do you count movies like Love Actually? That would be my favorite, both holiday and probably “regular” movie, too. Thanks so much!
I would say my favorite holiday movie is Miracle on 34th street.It brings back memories of old days.

I like any movie with a christmas theme, especially It’s a Wonderful life. It shows that you must be appreciative of what you have.
My favorite Holiday Movie is “A Christmas Story”. I do a lot of sewing for my Great Nieces (4 of them ages 14months- 4 1/2 years old). I have jokingly (I hope) been lovingly referred to as Aunt Clara.. No, I haven’t made bunny pajama’s YET!
“White Christmas” because it represents the importance of tradition and love in the holidays. I love the music and the dancing, PLUS, I love the style of that time period. :)
The Snowman is my favorite movie. It has no words, which means anyone anywhere can understand it. The music and story are also very nice.
I would have to say, since we have watched it about 20 times in the last 48 hours, that Elf tops the list. It is so funny, my kids laugh so hard each time, which makes me laugh! Happiness and laughter, a great way to start the holiday season!!
I think The Christmas Story is just hysterical. Its also my husbands favorite and we have a night every year near Christmas where we watch it with popcorn and snacks and just laugh until we almost fall out of our chairs.
Easy answer.. White Christmas.. I just love all of the actors..and I love watching the love in the story.
My favorite holiday movie is “Christmas in Connecticut” and the reason is because I WANT that house. I can just imagine decorating it for Christmas and sitting by the fireplace!
I am so embarrassed to admit this, but it’s “Home Alone.” Reasons – it’s funny, it makes me feel that by comparison I was a pretty good parent, and it’s sweet.
I’ve got two…. A Christmas Story and National Lampoon Christmas are my favorite movies. It shows how Christmas really is at family gatherings and no matter what happens you still have your family. :-)

I absolutely love Christmas movies. Thanks to the Hallmark channel I can get an almost constant stream of them providing me many new ones that touch my heart & lift my spirits. However I have to say that It’s a Wonderful Life still stands out as the one I look forward to on Christmas Eve… not only enjoying the movie but the memories of watching it each year with my grandparents who are no longer physically with me and with my boys each year from very young to the men they are now. Thanks to each of the artists for the chance to win some beautiful prizes.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas……with Jim Carrey!!! It reminds me of my children,i took all 3 of my kids to see it when it first came out we had a blast!!!!
My favorite holiday movie is the Santa Clause. I watched it with my husband when we were dating and it brings back memories of that time in our lives.
I love to watch old movies, It’s a wonderful life and miracle on 34th st bring back fond memories for me. One movie that irritates me and yet makes me smile is my husband’s favorite, A Christmas story. It makes him laugh and brings back memories for him.
My favorite holiday movie is either Mrs. Santa Claus w/ Angela Lansbury b/c of the great costumes and songs, or The Family Man w/ Nicholas Cage. I love how he realizes what’s truly important in life…the relationships we make & the memories we share. We watch that together as a family every year.
“Rudolph” because it brings back so many childhood memories. One is my brother running from the room when the abominable snowman appeared, lol.

I love to watch the remake of the classic…. Little Women. I cry every time and enjoy the frolic of the family….. Love the strength of the characters.

It’s a Wonderful Life! I always cry a good cry when the bell rings at the end of the movie (..an angel gets his wings..). It just sums up all the emotion in the movie. Think of all the blessings in your life!

I adore Love Actually. For the longest time my favorite Christmas movie has been It’s a Wonderful Life. But I think Love Actually has moved ahead slightly on the list. The love lost and found theme of the movie is wonderful and I love the little boy.
‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ is my favorite Christmas movie and the reason ~ when I was a little girl my family (especially my Dad and I) would watch it every year. I still do, but on my own now and it has such cozy wonderful memories for me.
I really love National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. So many people take the holiday buying SO seriously, and completely lose the real meaning. Love and laugh! And keep it simple!
Oh, I LOVE Christmas movies! “Love Actually” and “The Christmas List” are two of my favorites. I love how all the stories weave together in “LA” and “The Christmas List” imparts you that what you might want may not necessarily be what you need. “Meet Me in St. Louis”, “White Christmas” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” are is also year-round favorites!
One of the best parts of the season is the endless supply of Christrmas movies on ABCFamily and the Hallmark Channel! The cheesier, the better!

My favorite Christmas movie is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! I remember being SO excited every year when it was coming on– that was before VCRs or DVDs or Cable… and you had one chance to see it each year. Rudolph was such a big part of Christmas to me! :-) I also remember being SOOOO scared of the Abominable Snowman— I’d pull the blanket over my eyes and say, “tell me when it’s over!” just like Sam the Snowman said! LOL

My favorite Holiday movie is “Elf” because I feel like he represents the child in us that we all would like to be sometimes….especially during the holidays. It’s kind of like how we all because instant children when stepping foot onto Disney properties! :)

My favorite holiday movie is Muppet Christmas Carol. I may be over 50, but those muppets still tickle my funny bone. I especially like Kermit and Piggy as Mr. & Mrs. Krachet. :)
My favorite holiday movie has to be “It’s A Wonderful Life” because it reminds us all that we have a much bigger impact on the world than we think.Plus, it also teaches us to cherish what we DO have.
I love “The Christmas Story” because I was a child of the 50′s and it brings back such great memories. Added interest for me: the stockings hanging on the fireplace in the movie are the EXACT design my husband’s Grandmother knit for her six grand kids iin the 50′s and then as they grew up, she knit one for each spouse for the first Christmas they were married, and eventually even for some of her great grandchildren, until she passed away at 92. I feel so lucky to have my family’s four happy Santa stockings hanging on our fireplace each year, full of love in every stitch.
Wow what wonderful gifts! One of my favorite holiday movies has to be “A Christmas Story”. I watch it every year and it brings laughter and smiles to me every time I watch it. I think everyone can relate on some level as every family has their own stories and quirks and we all have that in common.
Baking Christmas cookies while I watch It’s A Wonderful Life has been a tradition in my home home since I was a young newlywed. I never tire of this wonderful movie some 40 years later.

I believe that there should be two categories for favorite holiday movies… classic and comedy (or some variation like that!).
I love It’s A Wonderful Life – and have been known to watch it in the middle of July if I need the reminders that the story brings.
But I also HAVE to watch Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation several times each December – as it brings back so many memories of watching it with Dad and laughing all the way through it as we decorated the house and tree each year.
Miracle on 34th Street… it’s just been a favorite since I was a little girl. I even have a collectable of the Santa with the little girl sitting on his lap that I set out each Christmas.
Several…but definitely it’s not Christmas until I’ve watched “The Grinch”. Just ’cause. I have to.
My favorite holiday movie is The Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black and Jude Law. It shows how we can think that we are stuck in life when all it takes is a little adventure to change it all. I love when Graham’s (Hugh Jackman) daughters meet Amanda (Cameron Diaz). It is so sweet. I adore the movie.

i love Christmas movies, i am very grateful to Hallmark and lifetime..i watch them all, tape them and rewatch them..one of my most favorite things about Christmas…but, one i have to see every year is Christmas in Connecticut, a 1938 oldie, with Barbara Stanwyck…it is funny, sweet ..not sure why i like this so much, but i do..:) thanks for the opportunity to win such fabulous prizes…back to Debbie Macomber’s trading Christmas.. love them all!

The Nutcracker Ballet (movie versions) I have been enchanted with the Nutcracker since I was 6 years old, and attended the Chicago ballet version. My collection of nutcrackers comes out on Thanksgiving, and stays out until February. The first nutcrackers mean Christmas is coming!
A Christmas Story. Who doesn’t love a movie with a catch phrase like: “You’ll put your eye out!” I love it because it’s truthful and quirky.

My favorite Christmas movie is Love Actually – while it isn’t necessarily about Christmas it takes place during the holidays – school plays, family feasts & get togethers – I love this season!
My favourite Holiday movie has to be Rudolph the Red nose Reindeer. It brings back memories of all the Rankin Bass stop motion animations that I watched as a kid. You can’t get any better than that. I was thrilled when I went to Florida a few years back and found all the characters from the movie to put out at Christmas time.
My favorite holiday movie is “It’s A Wonderful LIfe”. I’ve enjoyed from childhood on, it’s just really makes me feel good whenever I watch it. It really makes you realize that all of us has a purpose in life no matter how small. We touch everyone we meet in some small way as they do us. Even if it may not always seem that way.
Mr. Kugars Christmas…it reminds me of my childhood and my parents own an apt. in the
Belvedere in downtown SLC where it was filmed. Plus I love Jimmy Stewart!
My favorite movie is ‘Miracle On 34th Street”. I love watching this movie each year because it reminds me that miraclies can happen if you truly believe.
Miracle on 34th Street and Love Actually and The Christmas List. I watch them each year more than once. I love when Natalie Wood repeatedly says, ” I belive, I believe, It’s silly but I believe.” It reminds me of Christmas when I was young. And The Christmas List (we call it The Nose) and Love Actually are fun to watch.
My favorite Christmas movie will always be “A Christmas Story” for so many reasons – the sexy leg lamp, “You’ll shoot your eye out!”, “I can’t put my arms down!”, the kid getting his tongue stuck to the pole, Ralphie getting his mouth washed out with soap after cussing like his father had, the pink bunny costume pj’s, the dogs eating the turkey and Raplhie’s family having to eat dinner at the asian restaurant where they chopped the head off a duck right in front of them…I could go on & on :)

Wow! I love all of the stories. The Pick your Plum one got me as their intro question about doing it with a friend about did me in. My craft buddie is presently in the hospital in a coma from a hemmorhagetic stroke. Sad time for me. Butttttt I love all of this and it brings a smile to my face and know it would for Kathy.

I think either “The Nativity Story” or “The Christmas Choir” would have to be my favorite but it’s hard to choose between the 2. The Nativity Story helps show a little more of what it might have been like for Mary and Joseph when Jesus was born. And the Christmas Choir… I’m really not sure I could put my finger on a specific reason for liking it so much. I guess you’ll just have to watch it yourself to find out. ;)

While it’s not strictly a holiday movie, I love watching the Wizard of Oz every year. I like the story, the characters, the music, the suspense, and especially the happy ending. I wish I had a pair of ruby slippers!

I like the George C. Scott version of “A Christmas Carol”. It was made for TV, but it is a classic in our home. Scott was perfectly cast as Mr. Scrooge.

My favorite holiday movie is hard to narrow down! I like to wath Christmas Vacation at the beginning of the whole shopping/decorating/baking season of madness! It puts me in a light hearted mood. Then as Christmas gets closer, I love It’s a Wonderful Life just as a reminder that relationships are what’s most important.

I love “The Christmas Toy”. It’s a unique Christmas movie not only because of the muppet -type characters but the message is you’re never too small to do something big. My kids have watched it every year (they’re now 23 & 20) and we still love it!

Hands down it is Miracle on 34th Street. I am an huge Jimmy Stewart fan. My favorite thing he ever did was read a poem he wrote about his twin daughters when he was a guest on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Yes I am old. Happy Holidays!

Charlie Brown’s Christmas. It just brings back all of the good memories of the childrens laughter of my kids when they were small and now of my grand children when they watch it. The wonder in there eyes and the laughter in there hearts makes my heart smile. It makes me remember my Mother and how she would love to see the children laugh too. I think there is nothing better then when children still believe in Santa and the adults believe in the goodness of giving and being together with family and friends over the holidays. My favorite holiday movie is “Holiday Inn”. It is the one I watched over and over again as a child, and when I watch it now I feel the same shimmery excitement I did then. For a more modern choice, it’s “You’ve Got Mail”. Not a Christmas movie to most, but I lost my mom right around Christmas time (both my parents, actually), and when Meg Ryan’s character talks about missing her mom at Christmastime, it echoes what I’m feeling and sort of lets me be sad at Christmastime, when everything else is telling me to be jolly. So, I watch both of these movies every year and feel the range of holiday emotion.
My Favorite Holiday Movie is…..National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I know, not very reverent – but there are parts that make me laugh every time! Sometimes we feel a lot of pressure for the perfect Christmas – with all the marketing messages – I just feel like this movie helps me keep it all in perspective. PLUS this is the movie that my brother-in-law had playing in the hospital room the first time I met my first niece! So I always think of that moment too. (PS – LOVE that tag at the top of the post – LOVE Beth Quinn’s work already AND if people aren’t on board with Pick Your Plum you are MISSING OUT!!)

My favorite holiday movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. I know, high class right? But I have fond memories of seeing my dad laugh so hard he cried while watching this movie. Which makes me laugh each time I watch it!
classic for a reason – it’s a wonderful life. how many times in the darkest moments of my life have i thought about that movie… life is worth living. it’s hard, it’s not necessarily what we expected, but it’s beautiful.
Miracle on 34th St. I remember watching this movie while in our apt in the housing projects of the Lower East Side of Manhattan and thinking, now that’s the house I want to give to my mother. Till this day I still look outside my window on my birthday which is really close to Xmas and expect to see the hugest whatever out there. I love that I have that expectation.

My favorite…wow…that’s hard…I would have to say Christmas Vacation. Every year we go to get our tree with friends of ours and the trees they pick pretty much rival the Griswold Christmas tree. My friend totally looses all concept of the height of her living room. I also love A Christmas Story…it runs all day on Christmas day and we watch it over and over at my MIL. Prancer and the Grinch are favorites as well.

It is not an original answer, but an honest one. My favorite holiday movie has always the The Christmas Story. My cousin and I always looked forward to Christmas Eve when it would play for 24 hours straight. It taught me some valuable lessons. For example, I have NEVER stuck my tongue to anything metal and have a healthy fear of any and all guns! I don’t ever want to shoot my eye out!

Christmas Vacation is a family favorite. It first came to theatres when my 2 oldest children were preteens and we took them to see it. I remember my husband and I cringed at a few parts but the girls didn’t seem to “get it” yet! Now it’s a Christmas Eve tradition and we still roll laughing. We then bundle all the kids up for a ride around town to find a “Griswald House”!
I used to really love Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph but as an adult I can’t really watch either of them :) I think now my favorite is Elf, it’s just ridiculous and funny!

It would have to be White Christmas… Besides the animated shows I watched as a child, White Christmas holds my fondest memories due to watching it with my parents. My father was a veteran and he always commented on how much they appreciated the USO and the movie truly represents the comrade that veterans hold so dear.
White Christmas with Bing Crosby. I just love it! I grew up watching it and it’s just nastalgic.

My favorite holiday movie is A Christmas Story! I’ve loved it from the first time I saw it, and even watched over and over one year during a marathon on the TBS channel. This is such a classic movie and is a picture of days gone by. It’s a tradition for my husband and I to watch it every year the week of Christmas, and I can’t wait until my kids are old enough to watch it and appreciate it (they are still too young to get it). One day when they watch it, I anticipate them making connections to many quotes I utter from the movie:)

Along with all sorts of other folks no doubt , it’s got to be “It’s a Wonderful Life”. The love throughout, good triumphing over bad, and then the whimsy with Clarence and Zazu’s petals.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the Jim Carrey version. Love love love it! My boys are a little too young to appreciate it but I think it’s so sweet and funny all at the same time.
My favorite is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. All three of our girls had “who” hair when they were little. It stood straight up- no matter what. What a great giveaway.

“A Christmas Story” because of these moments: 1. “You’ll shoot your eye out!”, 2. Eating Chinese food for Christmas dinner (Fa rara-ra ra, rara ra ra), and 3. the leg lamp (in our house it was a GIANT, tacky, crimson and gold Jesus fountain my dad was given and my mother tried to bribe us to “accidentally” break).
Though I love all Christmas movies, I would say Elf is the one that kicks off the Christmas season in our house!

White Christmas! I love the poignant story centered around the a “washed up” Army general, and of course the love stories and music, with songs sung by Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby. It’s not Christmas for me until I watch the movie, quoting the dialogue along with the actors and singing all the songs. “Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sister. . . “
Favorite holiday movie is hands down Polar Express. It’s become a family tradition with the little ones to watch it every Christmas Eve. I love the mood it sets and everyone goes to bed singing “The best time of the year….” goes something like that. Yah definitely love that movie.

My favorite is Frosty the Snowman… when I was very young I wrote Frosty a letter telling him I didn’t want him to melt. I cried on the paper and put a piece of tape on it with a little note – saying it was my tear.

It’s so hard to pick, I love all Christmas movies, but the ones that pop in my head first are Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman because they bring back fond memories from my childhood.

I love old movies and one of my favorites is the Bishop’s Wife with Cary Grant and David Niven. The other one is The Muppets Christmas Carrol. What would Christmas be without Kermit and Miss Piggy.
I like the original animated Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! I love how the Whos join together to celebrate Christmas in solidarity even after the Grinch has tried in every way to ruin their collective Christmas. I especially love the “Welcome Christmas” song as well!
The Disney movie The rescuers. It is not actually a christmas movie, but I watch it every year.

I’m sure “It’s a Wonderful Life”, is many peoples favorite. It really is my Favorite since I was a little girl. The movie is full of wonderful meanings.
The message that comes from the movie is life changing. Every person is important in their own way. Think of all the lives you touched, and think of all the lives that have touched you. Life is such an interaction of people , we can not be solo in the universe. When I get feeling down I eflect on people that I know I have touched. I introduced friends to each other and some have gone on to make lives together. Some have gone on to have outstanding jobs when they ask for my advice. There are people I have not seen in years or even passed on,I am so grateful for how they touched my life. I dd not grow up in the greatest atmosphere, but they taught my by example of what family is and I did not want my children to grow up the way I did. I am now close to 60 and realize how my teaching art and the producing art has enriched my life and hopefully others.
A Christmas Story…..hands down the best movie of all time. Filled with action, drama, romance and mystery! And, I know ALL the words :)

Well I have 2. The original ” Miracle on 34th Street’ and “White Chrstmas”. It’s just not Christmas without seeing them. I really should purchase the dvds. Sometimes it’s hard to catch them on T.V.
My favoite movie is “the Christmas Story” with Ralphie
This is a hard pick. I would have to say “Scrooge the Musical”. The performances of the songs telling the story truly gets under your skin and puts one in the Christmas Spirit. Makes you want to dance in the street and sing Christmas Carols.
As a window designer I am inspired as well by the sets and costumes in this movie. Personally i would love to wear the ghost of Christmas past outfit to a party. That hat she wears is divine.
In all , the film is about what Christmas is all about…the love of your fellow Man or Woman and what we do for each other while we are on the earth. We are in this together.
The close second is White CHristmas. IT sends me straight to childhood on all levels.

I think “A Christmas Story” is my favorite holiday movie. I have an outfit that has been passed down from cousin-to-cousin that is very similar to the one Ralphie’s brother wore. Both of my children have worn the outfit and each year, we laugh together at how cute and silly our children look in the outfit, but it also reminds us of the holidays. Each year, all 7 of my siblings and I get together to watch “A Christmas Story” and we enjoy the time we have together whether it is spent watching a movie or sharing pictures of our children in the red nostalgic outfit.

I love “Elf” with Wil Farrel. I love it because I believe! Its just a lovely movie to watch and brings tears to my eyes every time.
I still like Christmas Story with little Ralphie who’ll “shoot your eye out!” I think in the midst of the holidays humor is a necessity – it lightens the mood and takes off pressure.
The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus is my fave holiday movie. It was never released and was put out by Rankin Bass. No one ever believes me that it is an actual movie until it airs on tv! I love the story of how Santa becomes immortal.
My favorite Christmas movie has always been White Christmas. I use to watch it with my mother every year. She was a wonderfully artistic and she made all of our projects fun. Now I watch White Christmas every years as I decorate my house and our tree and remember the wonderful Christmas past.
The classics! Especially It’s a Wonderful Life.
Miracle on 34th Street is my must see every year. “I believe” says it all!
I love 2 Holiday movies: First I love How the Grinch Stole Christmas because of its message and because I identify with “Cindy Lou Who” but also because I think the costumes are so amazingly creative! My second fave is Elf because “smiling is my favorite” as expressed by Will Farrell. There are so many simple phrases in this movie that sum up what Christmas should be for all of us!

We like A Christmas Story. We like it so much that we have a leg lamp (nightlight sized) and a leg lamp ornament. Every year when we get ready to decorate the tree we remind each other about how “fra-gee-lee” the glass decorations are. :)

I have two favourite Christmas movies:
Oldie but great: It’s a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart. A classic!
New but great too: The Holiday with Cameron Diaz andKate Winslet. I love the two settings and that it has a happy end.
I cannot pick just one as we watch a few, Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, MArch of the Wooden Soldiers, etc. We watch the ones on TV and then we pull out our favorites as well if they are not playing. So much fun hanging out in your pajamas as watching the goodies!

WHY? I just never grow tired of it— It’s funny and I remember how it feels to be a kid and want the ONE THING SOOOOOO bad!
My favorite holiday movie is “Home Alone” – it tells us how important family is, even if sometimes there are disagreements) Now we are watching it with my older boy).
Favorite holiday movie? This is a hard one, but I think I’m going to have to go with one we just saw…Arthur Christmas. My whole family loved it and it was SOO clever and cute. Plus, James McAvoy did the voice of the lead character so, you know, that’s a big bonus. :)
Elf would have to be my favorite movie. As the Christmas deadline lumes every year I always need a little humor to get me to the end.
Oh, so many favorites! The first one that comes to mind is the original ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’. I love sitting down with the family and watching this movie.

Oh while I love to watch Elf, Home Alone and The Grinch, my favorite Christmas movie, hands down, is “It’s a Wonderful Life”. I think it’s because I have memories of watching it with my parents when I was a child. I also just love the theme – he is rich who has friends.
THE GRINCH and not the cartoon one but the most reacent one that came out. i absolutely love the humor of it and the wonderful message that it expresses in a funny sort of way. the song are super fun and i can promise i watch this show at least 3 times every holiday season (and usually more!!!)….if you haven’t seen it definitely rent it and watch it like TONIGHT.

My favorite holiday movie is The Family Stone. It’s a wonderful Christmas movie that shows the crazy side of families who love each other and are protective of each other. It makes me laugh.
I don’t have one… But I remember as kids watching Charlie Brown and Rudolph on t.v. And Disney’s Scrooge. Classics.
I would have to say Polar Express….saw it with my son when he was in kindergarten and we both loved it! That year, Santa gave each of the kids a bell ornament so they could hear Christmas!

My favorite holiday movie would have to be the original animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I loved it as a child- and loved sharing it with my kids- brings back such great memories! We used to say the kids had been “Seus-i-fied” after they could repeat parts back line for line! My brothers and I tried to duplicate the part where Max the dog leads the Grinch and sleigh down into Who-ville; I don’t think our dachshund appreciated it! I love the scene where all the citizens of Who-ville gather round and welcome Christmas even though there are no toys or tinsel..”heart to heart and hand to hand”…and who doesn’t love it when the Grinch grows a heart after all!

“Show Mommy how the piggies eat!” I ask my son that almost every year. Ok, I’ll admit it, every year. My son Jason is 24 and I love his expression at the dinner table when I ask him. You know the kind, apprehensive, even foreboding. Especially the look on his face when his siblings: Ian, 15 and Rhiannon, 10, outrageously oblige me!
A Christmas Story is definitely my favorite holiday movie. The kind we watch while having boisterous discussions on why we love this movie while waiting to prove the point watching the next one during a marathon viewing! Merry Christmas Everyone!
My favorite holiday movie has been ‘The Year Without Santa Claus” for years, mostly because I LOVE Heat Miser and Cold Miser and the songs they sing!

My all-time favorite holiday movie is the animated “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. I remember the Norelco commercials that would play during the annual broadcast where the elves rode electric shavers down the slopes. Love that classic!

Hands down my all time favorite Christmas movie is WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!! Why? Oh let me tell you the many reasons why, Music written by Irving Berlin. A master of show tunes. Vera Ellen, Can that girl dance?? Or what? The costumes, sooo 50′s chic. Bing’s smooth voice, Danny Kaye’s comic relief, and Rosemary clooney’s elegance. Annually I have a girls party and invite my best girlfriends for White Christmas night, hot cocoa, and christmas cookies, we have a blast singing along with the music, and having good sisterhood time as well. A bonus! I’ve been known to get a couple of fixes during other times of the year;-) LOL! Love me my White Christmas
There are too many holiday movies that are just fabulous… not to mention all of the fabulous movies we watch during the holidays that are NOT holiday movies themselves ;) But every year we always manage to watch some of the cartoon ones, especially the old claymation Rudolph.. and of course charli brown ;) even if we don;t get through the whole thing, we always watch some of it :) We’re all just big kids at heart, especially in my family, and so cartoons keep the ‘little kid’ aspect of the holidays up front with us :)

I like A Christmas Story for nostalgic reasons. The movie was filmed in my hometown of Cleveland,OH and you can visit the Christmas Story House for a tour and even buy your own Leg Lamp:)
My favorite Christmas movie is 1983 “The Christmas Story” . The first time my husband and I went to see the movie, we had gone to see another movie but that movie was sold out. So we chose to see this movie. Knowing nothing about it we went in the theater only a few people were there. Didn’t know what to expect, we laughed so much and from then on it became a family tradition with our children to watch it every year. The story is set back in about the same time that I went to school

My favorite Chrismas movie is A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott starring as Scrooge. I love watching this movie as it is a great reminder of the real reason for Christmas and steers the focus away from commercialism.
I love The Polar Express. I love how it takes a disbelieving child and turns him around to believe again. Plus the trains are a hit with my two boys.

I love the original Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood. There is something so sweet about the story yet very grown up. It’s about faith and belief in the un-seen. What Christmas is all about, trusting in Jesus. Also, I love watching Maureen O’Hara…I wish I had her hair, her clothes, her shoes, her face…..Ok, I’ve convinced myself to watch tonight!:)

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. I watched so many times with my dad, who has since passed. It’s from an era of such innocence and what a great story!!
It’s a wonderful life because it always reminds me of my blessings.
I am not sure this counts, but “Love Actually” is my favorite. I enjoy watching it all year long, but the movie is set during Christmas. It has an amazing set of actors and a wonderful storyline. It always brings a smile to my face. I have also always loved the original “Miracle on 34th Street”. It brings back memories from my childhood when I would watch this movie with my parents.
I’m not really much of a movie person, but I do the soundtrack from the Charlie Brown Christmas movie.
A Christmas Story. My father was born in 1929, and when he saw that movie – he absolutely related to everything in it, he had wanted a red ryder bb gun as well, and sat near the radio to listen to the stories. So that movie, reminds me of my father. I can’t go a Christmas without watching it.
I purchased a leg nightlight for my father just recently, and it’s in their guest bathroom. It helps illuminate the floor so dad doesn’t trip when he walks around. I ask him when I see him, if he remembers the movie – I’m not certain he does, but he likes the nightlight : )
All the animated Christmas movies are my favorite like Frosty & Rudolph.. They remind me of Christmases when my son was little & we’d make popcorn & Kool Aid & snuggle on the couch to watch them. Great giveaway – thanks for the chance to win.

I actually have 2 favorite holiday movies. My favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus with Bette Midler and my favorite Christmas movie is The Ref with Denis Leary. I love comedy and both of these movies make me laugh out loud no matter how many times I watch them. There are lots of others that come a close second, like anything with action/adventure/comedy set during Christmas, ie: Diehard movies, Lethal Weapon movies, etc… Okay, I know I have strange tastes in holiday movies!

I love so many holiday movies! Elf cracks me up, It’s A Wonderful LIfe is classic, A Christmas Story is pure nostalgia. But every year I wrap presents to an endless loop of Holiday Inn, the movie that launched the song “I’m Dreaming of a White Chrismas”. I can’t get enough of that one! Will be watching it soon, no doubt!

We like the Miracle on 34th street..the b/w version with John Payne. We like him as an actor and these older movies are so in keeping with the spirit of Christmas and not showing a society entrenched with commercialism.
I do love A Christmas Story. It was shot just outside my hometown, so it seems so familiar to me. And it is soooo kitsch. I just love it!

National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. Because it’s like being home with my dad again. It makes me laugh and cringe and cry from homesickness.
We have a few favorites between all of us in the family – It’s a Wonderful Life and The Christmas Story are classics, Frosty and other cartoons are loved by kids and adults, and some newer ones, like Elf and The Lake House, but for me it’s not even about what we are watching, as long as it is time for us to spend together, to slow down and enjoy each others company in the midst of busy season.
I am a sucker for “Love, Actually.”
I have to admit – not a huge holiday movie fan. However bring on the holiday cartoons!! Love to watch Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph on TV – especially since they are the same ones that I watched as a child.
If I had to pick a Christmas movie, I’d say A Christmas Story.
“Polar Express” is my favorite to watch with my daughter. But I have always loved “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
Okay…I know it is not a Holiday movie, but the first time I saw it was on Christmas Eve, and it is one of my all time favorites, it will always be considered a Holiday movie to me. Shawshank Redemption.

Now this is a really tough question. I’m not really big on the holiday movies, but I guess if I have to pick one it would be “Gremlins.” Mostly because it’s not your traditional holiday movie.
I have a three-way tie: White Christmas (because I love the musical numbers), It’s a Wonderful Life (because I love the message), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (for it’s animation and message)
My favorite holiday movie is Miracle on 34th Street. I just watched it with my 10 year old daughter for the first time and it was like seeing it for the first time again through her eyes. I just love that movie. Makes me very sentimental. We need more miracles these days.

My favourite holiday movie? The nutcracker off course. Although I prefer the theatre show, I love watching it on TV with a bunch of kids. It’s two very different and equally enjoyable experiences :)

Hands down “A Christmas Story” — I’ve never seen a movie that better captures what it’s like to be a kid…
White Christmas with Bing Crosby. Love the vivd colors and the nosatgia. A good old fashion Christmas.
My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story which we watch from the time we get up Christmas morning until we call it quits sometime late Christmas night. We have such a great time shouting out all the crazy funny lines “you can’t have a bb-gun, you’ll shoot your eye out”

This one is easy…”It’s A Wonderful Life” an old classic. I love the classics. It’s about family, nothing is more important than family. Money can not buy happiness.
Holiday INn!!! I love the singing and dancing! Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire!!! Then follow it up with a white Christmas! Love that song!
Our favorite movie – and a tradition to watch it the weekend after Thanksgiving – is the old cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. On a more serious note, we always enjoy It’s a Wonderful Life.
meet john doe. the end of the picture always makes me want to cry. barara stanwyck is telling gary cooper that he doesn’t have to give up his life. that the first john doe, (Jesus), did that once and for all. it’s a very moving picture. i highly reccomend it.
It is hard to pick! The grinch (old cartoon version) I love how nearly everyone can recite passages from that story.
I always loved White Christmas, but, for humor, Elf has taken the cake.

My favorite holiday movie is A Charlie Brown Christmas. Does a TV show count as a movie? I hope so! The soundtrack is great, and I love hearing those children singing at the end of the show.
My favorite older movie is Miracle on 34th Street (with Maureen O’Hara). I love the magical tone that even those that “believed” in Santa were surprised in the end.
My favorite holiday movie is “White Christmas”. My dad loves it, and I remember watching it with my whole family when I was younger.
My favorite holiday movie …. well I don’t have just one! Whenever we can sit down during the holidays and watch a movie together, as a family (must be a comedy) and get a few laughs, that would be my favorite and to be honest I spend more time watching everyone else enjoying it than I do on the movie.

I have grown to love the Polar Express after watching it with kindergarteners year after year. The joy and wonder on their little faces did it for me!
I like the old stop motion kids movies, like Rudolph. It’s so neat to think of all the work involved, and they’ll always be a classic.

A Christmas Story is the movie of choice for us because who wouldn’t just love a leg lamp :) And every time I actually see a leg lamp in real life (only twice and in two different states so hopefully they’re rare) it makes me giggle!
